Instructions for e-book 
download, install, and purchase

SWITCHWORDS is a "shareware" e-book. The first 43 pages, containing all the basic switchwords information, are free and open for anyone to read and share. 

When you download and install the SWITCHWORDS.EXE setup file, you get the entire 178-page e-book on your hard drive then, but only the first 43 pages are accessible until the entire e-book has been purchased. There is nothing more to download, purchasing simply unlocks what is already there.

Purchasing happens conveniently from within the e-book itself; it is not necessary to go to any external webpage or webstore. Simply open the e-book and click on any page past 43 while online to bring up the "Software Delivery Wizard." 

Proceed through the Wizard screens to securely purchase and immediately unlock the e-book using a credit or debit card (the price is US$21.95 or equivalent, most world currencies accepted). Or, you can use PayPal or other methods, see the switchwords.com FAQ, question 7 for details. When you finish the last screen of the Wizard, the e-book should unlock (and remain unlocked) on your computer.

If the e-book file is copied to another computer, it will then  display in preview mode (only the first 43 pages open). However, after purchase, at no extra charge, you can re-install and re-unlock the e-book after moving into a new computer, hard drive, or operating system, and you can have multiple copies if you have several computers. If you are enthusiastic about the SWITCHWORDS e-book and sharing it with others, you can easily give it to others as a gift (click on Give e-book as a gift icon), or sell it to others as a business (click on Affiliate Program icon). If you haven't yet downloaded and installed the SWITCHWORDS e-book, here are the simple instructions:

Note technical requirements: To access this animated page-turning DigitalWebBook, Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP, or Vista is required. If you are using Win2000, XP, or Vista, you must have Administrator privileges. (If you're using a Mac or Linux computer, there are several ways you can access this e-book, click here.)

1) Click on the animated Download icon  
     in the upper left of the switchwords.com website.

2) A File Download box should appear, similar to the one pictured below. Click "Save," select your Desktop to save it to, then OK; and please wait for the 2 MB file SWITCHWORDS.exe to download. (This will require a few seconds on fast broadband connections, or a few minutes on slow dial-up connections.) 

 

Note: The File Download box may (correctly) warn you to be cautious with EXE files. You may proceed safely, however, this SWITCHWORDS e-book setup EXE file has been tested by Norton Anti-Virus 2005, and does not contain any viruses, spyware, or adware.

3) Then doubleclick the new SWITCHWORDS.exe setup file on your Desktop. The  SWITCHWORDS e-book should install and open to the front cover. 


4) Page-turning is animated; click on any page with the mouse to turn the page.

5) To print, adjust various e-book settings, or exit, right-click on any page for the Options menu. You can also exit the e-book by pressing Alt-F4 on your keyboard.

6)  To re-open the e-book, click on the SWITCHWORDS desktop icon:

7) To read the pages past 43, please purchase the entire e-book using the instructions at the top of this page.
